Aims and objectives
Our purpose is to make a real difference to the lives of the people of the Dangbe East District – DED - of Ghana in particular and Ghanaians in general. It is our belief that any citizen of Ada living outside the confines of the DED is more fortunate and better off by comparison and will therefore wish to be of some assistance to his or her less fortunate kindred. Our vision is to mould individual knowledge and talent into a team with the common aim of seeking to redress the social and economic deprivations of the DED.
We value commitment to our purpose. We appreciate every individual of the team for his or her knowledge, ideas and contribution. Above all, we value the loyalty and integrity of our members underpinning the efficient and lawful services that we have thus far rendered to the Dangbe East District of Ghana.
Specifically we aim:
To advance education of the people in the Dangbe East Region of Ghana, providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment which would otherwise not be available; providing or assisting in the provision of teacher training programmes, including the creation of scholarship and bursary funds to be awarded to children suffering financial hardship in the UK and Ghana.
To raise the awareness of all “Okorbihi” resident in the UK and EIRE of the need to promote education of the history, culture, the written and spoken language of the people of the Ada Traditional Area of Ghana.
We are committed to provide relief for financial hardships of the people of the Dangbe East Region living in Ghana and the UK.
To promote health education, particularly of basic sanitation, providing items of hospital equipment to health posts in the area to assist the delivery of health care to those least able to afford it.
